Set up by Julia Wooster and Rosie O’Hagan following the demise of Cookham Country Market and known as Beccmark, the first event took place on 11th February 2011 in the Lottery funded community rooms of Bourne End Library and regularly attracted 30-40 food and craft stall holders.

The non-profit making market re-branded as BECMARKET in 2020 to celebrate its 10th Anniversary year and managed to hold three markets before the onset of Covid.  In June 2020, BECMARKET reopened as an outdoor only market with the support of the Community Centre, St Dunstan’s Church, Bourne End Day Centre and the Library becoming a Covid success story.  Friendly volunteer stewards guided visitors safely around the one-way system.  From 17 outdoor stalls, BECMARKET has now grown to 60+ outdoor and indoor stalls plus entertainment, One Can tombola, Wycombe Food Hub Café, Guide Dogs for the Blind and animal charity stalls.

BECMARKET is free to visit and free parking is available (on market days only) at Bourne End Business Park with the kind permission of Mintec and The Bizz Badge Co.

Moving forward, our current focus is the development of the community side of BECMARKET – offering a Wellbeing Hub and a Bourne End, Wooburn Green & Hedsor Councillors Surgery plus working on our social media presence and attracting younger visitors.

Please come along on the second Saturday of every month between 10 and 1pm (street food until 2pm) and see how the local community comes together.
